This massive temple, which faces east, was constructed in the 17th century. It is dedicated to the deity of the Nagar Brahmins, who were the region's most important community at the time. In its inner sanctuary, it is said to house the Swayambhu or self-emerging Shiva Lingam. The temple's intricate carvings represent nine planets, dancing apsaras, flower themes, Hindu Pantheon gods, puranas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata scenes, among other things. Swaminarayana, Jain, and Shiva temples are also included within the temple complex.
